Event details

Our Club meets at the Balnarring Community Hall on the last Friday of each month (excluding December) commencing at 9:30 am.

These meetings provide an opportunity for retired and semi-retired local men to engage in a variety of activities in a congenial environment which encourages fellowship and fun.

Regular features include photographic exhibitions and outings, musical interludes and guest speakers who are invariably a source of information and entertainment.

Our most recent speaker in August was the newly elected State Member of Parliament, Chris Brayne.

In September on Grand Final eve, we will be welcoming the well-known AFL umpire Mike Henry.

Mike commenced his career in 1963 and umpired 342 games.  He is a life member of the Victorian Football League Umpires Association.

In October we will be addressed by Bob Lachal, who has had a most interesting life, competing in the Tokyo Olympics, working in Antarctica and more recently as a patrol officer in Papua.

Forthcoming outings in the Big Boys Business program will include a visit to an electric truck manufacturing plant in October and to the Police and Seafarers museums in November.

Our club also hosts a variety of activities including book groups, photography, cycling, chess, cinema dine-outs, money matters and a renowned choir.

New members and visitors are always welcome.
