Advertising Costs

There are 6 editions of The Bridge each year.

While 100% Volunteer run, we do ask for contributions to help cover our costs. Our wonderful Hero Sponsors Bendigo Bank Balnarring and Balnarring Dental are covering the majority of this, and they enable us to support micro and non-profiting businesses and community news and events for free.

For larger and profit-making businesses, we ask a contribution as follows:

  • Full page: $100 per edition (billed twice yearly, $300 per six months)
  • Half page: $50 per edition (billed twice yearly, $150 per six months)
  • Quarter page: $25 per edition (billed twice yearly, $75 per six months)

Microbusinesses (no employees and/or low income):

  • One full page is free
  • Additional pages are charged at 50% of the standard rate (for example, $50 for an extra full page)

Community and volunteer groups:

  • Content remains free, with a limit of two pages

Please let us know whether you consider yourself a microbusiness or a standard business, and if you’re happy for your ad or content to continue for the year.

General submission info:

Our number of pages is limited so “first come, first served”.

Submissions for multiple months must be made each month unless otherwise agreed.

Acronyms to be written in full at first mention followed by the acronym in brackets, e.g. “Community Centre (C.C.)”.

The primary focus of The Bridge is to promote free community events. Volunteer organisations are encouraged to submit up to two pages per month and will not be charged. Personal words from individuals are also free to enter. Businesses holding events, workshops, etc. in the coming months are encouraged to contribute. Content that speaks negatively of any individual or group will not be published.

Groups should comment on their own activities only, unless in appreciation of others. The editorial review team reserve the right to edit and/or refuse contributions where necessary.
